Born in Feb 16th, 1963 at Juchitan de Zaragoza, Oaxaca. Studied sociology and graduated from UNAM, but later studied painting at the National School of Painting and Sculpture “La Esmeralda”. Her art reflects her Oaxacan and indigenous roots. Geometric figures are common in her style, based on Mesoamerican architecture and textiles.
Irving Cano
